Enum ColorStopBlendMode
Per-segment color blend operator applied between a ColorGradientStop and its successor. Replaces the default straight-line interpolation with a physically-motivated combine of the two endpoint colors.
Namespace: Scylla.Core.Util.Palette
Assembly: ScyllaCore.dll
Syntax
public enum ColorStopBlendMode
Remarks
Unlike a Photoshop layer blend (which composites a top layer onto a
fixed base), a stop-to-stop blend interpolates *between* two colors
along the gradient's local t parameter. The result is a path
through color space whose shape is determined by the operator: linear
interpolation toward an endpoint for Normal, toward the
channelwise product for Multiply, toward the inverse
product for Screen, and toward the linear-light sum for
Add.
Blend operators other than Normal compute their result
in linear-light space (sRGB transfer applied/removed at the
boundaries) so the curve respects how light actually combines.
Endpoints round-trip exactly: Blend(a, b, 0) == a and
Blend(a, b, 1) == b for every mode.
Blend modes compose with (run after) the per-stop
ColorGradientStopInterpolation easing curve and
Midpoint: the easing reshapes t, then the blend
operator consumes the reshaped t together with the two
endpoint colors to produce the final segment color.
Fields
| Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Add | Linear-light additive blend, clamped to [0, 1]. The segment passes
through |
| Multiply | Linear-light multiply blend. The segment passes through the channelwise product of the two endpoint colors. Produces darker, more saturated midtones; useful for lava ramps, organic shadow ramps, and dye-style color mixing. |
| Normal | Plain straight-line interpolation between the two endpoint colors in the gradient's configured color space (RGB, HSV, or Oklab). The default. |
| Screen | Linear-light screen blend (inverse multiply). The segment passes through
